Few identities people are as personal and all encompassing as their religious identity – whether a person is religious, non-religious or anti-religious. Some of us have simply adopted the religion of our parents and ancestors. Others of us have made a conscious choice to go down a chosen religious path.

Is there one God? Are there many gods? Is there no God? These are age-old questions. A fundamental component of personal identity rests on the answers to these questions. Following are the stories of people who journeys have focused on the question of religion (or no religion at all):
