Michael was a Jehovah Witness for 30 years. Jehovah Witnesses do not believe that Jesus was God, and they go to great lengths to do that. Michael went door to door with the message that Jesus is not God. That is the big question: is Jesus God? This is Michael’s experience in dealing with that question.
Melanie Thomassian’s mother became a Jehovah Witness after seeking answers from Christians she knew and not getting any answers. So Melanie became a Jehovah Witness. She didn’t know anything else. As she got older she stopped going to church and did the things that other young people her age did, thinking she would go back to the Jehovah Witnesses when she got older, but all that changed.
Antwan and his wife were raised as Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Antwan became an elder and a leader. He was confident in his beliefs, thinking everyone else was blind to the truth who didn’t believe as he did. Then he began to read the Bible for himself, without the help of the Watchtower literature, things began to change.
Sheila grew up as a Jehovah Witness. Her father came out as gay and was disfellowshipped. Still he believed, and Sheila continued to go to the Kingdom Hall with her father. She studied and asked questions from a youth into her teens, but she asked too many questions. It wasn’t clicking. When she turned 18, her mother became a believer in Jesus Christ. Finally, Sheila asked God to show her the truth, whatever it is. Then everything changed.
